Changes
As you might have noticed (or not) my site is no longer listed under boaddrink.com. Instead boaddrink.com now redirects to developerkarma.com.
Don't worry, the site hasn't been hacked or hijacked in some extravagant scheme to extort money from NATO countries. I just decided it was time for change. The term "boaddrink" came into being around 1995 when I purchased the domain name from network solutions for $70 (and had the related AOL screen name). Since it's beginning in the mid 90's when the net was still young the domain name has hosted a search engine, my own personal comedy blog and finally my open source software. In the thirteen years of using the name boaddrink I got tired of explaining the meaning behind the name, spelling it phonetically and sounding it out so people could pronounce it. For perspective, since 1995 I've graduated school, dropped out of school, worked at countless jobs, got married and had children. A lot has changed in my life in my time and I'm surprised I've kept the same domain name this long.
Aside from changing the domain name so I don't have to pull out my hair every time I give the URL to somebody, I'm using the name change as a realignment to the site's focus to better match my personal focus. The new focus of the site will be as a developer blog to help spread the knowledge I've amassed over the years. Now don't you worry your sweet little head, I'm still keeping the support forums and the projects I've created available to the public. I hope to release some more in the coming years but the reality of the situation is I can't release as many programs as I did when I was a teenager, thus the switch to more of a blog, less of a software repository.
For those of you who email me I'll be keeping my @boaddrink.com email addresses for a while and then forwarding them afterwards.
